About The Project

Shane initially approached us to leverage YouTube Shorts and expand his channel's reach. With an extensive library of long-form content, he wanted to transform it into engaging short-form videos. Over time, our collaboration evolved into full channel management, overseeing everything from video editing to channel optimization.

YouTube
  • Long-Form Video Editing: Our main goal with long-form content is to keep the viewer engaged. While that is broad, it essentially means hooking the viewers, cutting unnecessary fluff, maintaining good pacing, and keeping the audience entertained. We do this by starting with a cliffhanger to reduce early drop-offs and optimize watch time. Next, we trim the video down to essential content, removing ums, ahs, repeated words, and off-topic tangents. Lastly, we enhance engagement by adding graphics as visual aids.
  • Repurposing Short-Form Clips: To maximize the effectiveness of the long-form video, we repurpose it for short form. This involves pulling the most entertaining clips and formatting them for short-form platforms. We cut the clips, added subtitles, and included stock footage to create snappy content for YT Shorts, IG Reels, TikTok, etc.
  • Thumbnails, Titles, Descriptions, and Tags: Arguably the most important factor in video performance is getting your video found and clicked on. We craft attention-grabbing titles, eye-catching thumbnails, and SEO-optimized descriptions and tags to maximize click-through rates (CTR). We leverage every available tool to give the video the best chance of success.
  • A/B Testing Thumbnails and Titles: Utilizing TubeBuddy, we create multiple versions of titles and thumbnails, continuously refining them for maximum performance. We isolate variables to determine what drives CTR changes and use this data to create CTR-optimized thumbnails and titles for future videos.
  • Posting to YouTube: A key part of posting to YouTube is linking short-form content back to the long-form video, allowing viewers to easily find the full podcast. This maximizes the traffic from the short-form videos and improves the performance of the long-form content.
